Ideas for Interviews Empty Ideas for Interviews

    Post  MikeyPullman Wed Nov 11 2009, 13:14

I already have a pretty extensive list on the kinds of people I want to interview, but does anybody have any out-of-the-box ideas or individuals who they know would be great for this project?

I could also use some help in locating these interviews:

Elderly woman who has been dealing with the consequences of her assault for decades.

    A rapist. (I know)

A man forced to defend himself in court on false charges.

Family members of convicted rapist (just thought of this one, but what the hell).

    More to follow...

Victim that feels they were deserving of the abuse.

    Lawyer that defends rapists

Attempt to interview Risch or Simpson on Franken Anti-Rape bill

    also....

    In the intro

Touch base on mass rape of women in history, where soldiers rape women as a spoil of war. Too many accounts to list. Romans raping women in the colleseum, sometimes with animals.

Rape as humiliation to defeated soldiers.

English laws of allowing the Lord to rape a woman on thier wedding night.

Cults or Religions that feel girls can marry too young and be raped by husbands.

Cultures that feel a woman cannot say no to thier husband

And you wanted us to start doing interviews in January. Shocked

I honestly haven't thought much about applying historical context, although since our initial conversation about the start of the documentary it makes sense that we would spend some time talking about the evolution of rape to give the viewer a better perspective.

    ...

The interview list just got longer.

Hour and a half is a lot of time. You'll want the best interviews versus every interview.

And the historical content can be covered in a minute with VO's and a few public domain pics.
